Therapists for college students near Denver, CO
I have significant experience working with clients all over the world. I have worked with orphans in Mexico that were survivors of significant trauma and abuse and in Colombia with a group of displaced women, survivors of war. My therapeutic focus centers on the integration of the body and the mind in order to help my clients flourish. I am passionate about offering clients the opportunity to strengthen the gifts they have, and thrive. I work with college students from diverse backgrounds - those striving to bring their lives and their dreams together -- to help them achieve happy and healthy relationships. In addition to having extensive training in body psychotherapy, I have also trained in women's issues, EMDR, and domestic violence. I specialize in treating trauma and also anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder. I currently offer my services in both Spanish and English at my private practice.
Spring EOP is here for any step of recovery, whether or not you have been to treatment. We aim to bridge the gap between leaving treatment and the transition back to life. For individuals who need to work, attend school, and have ongoing family obligations, the limited time outpatient therapy provides may not be enough to sufficiently support the investment that’s been made in residential treatment with the continued journey of sobriety. Many clients who have experienced residential treatment find that there is a greater need for clinical support beyond one session weekly; at Spring EOP we are here to support this transition with continued, consistent care. Additionally, we understand not everyone is ready for treatment, a client does not have to be transitioning out of a higher level of care to be an ideal client for us. We are there for every step of the recovery. We offer support to loved ones through CRAFT group as well as therapy for couples, family, and loved ones. We accept ages 15 and up.
At Psych for Tykes and Teens, we believe every child and young adult deserves to feel happy and be successful. Dr. Gellman's mission is to help patients conquer the challenges that life will throw at them now and in the future and, overall, to help people thrive in all aspects of life.
We are a small private practice located in Fort Collins, CO who treat individuals struggling with depression and/or anxiety. These conditions include a variety of symptoms including feelings of sadness, loss of motivation, low energy, isolation, feeling worthless, disruption to appetite or sleep, racing thoughts, over-thinking, worry, nervousness, and panic attacks. Due to these symptoms, the ability to function normally is impacted, and many of our clients are having difficulty in school and in their relationships. We use an evidence- based treatment called Cognitive Behavior Therapy to address symptoms and help our clients feel better. We work well with individuals who are motivated to make changes and implement the tactics they learn in between sessions. Please visit our website for more information: evolvecounselingnoco.com

Welcome, I'm glad you're here and walking your healing pathway. Therapy can be scary with fears of being judged over your thoughts and feelings. Those thoughts and feelings helped get you here but they may not be serving you anymore and you are seeking change. I have been helping people for 18 years by providing insight based therapy and I love when the healing starts to make changes in people's lives. I look forward to helping the healing process. I offer a judgement free environment (don't we do enough to ourselves already) where you can explore new ideas, thoughts and feelings along your journey.

My philosophy of counseling is based on the belief that you possess the power to change, and that my role is to help you become aware of how to understand and utilize that power. My goal is to first listen and fully understand your need(s). After that, I will work side by side with you to develop the insights, tools and skills necessary for you to achieve the goals and changes you are seeking to make. I may draw upon various approaches, including Grief Centered Therapy, Person-Centered, Solution Focused Brief Practice, Emotion Focused and CBT. My hope is that our sessions will help you to feel empowered to challenge your internal thinking process to create positive change in your life. I believe these approaches will help to bring about effective long-term results, by helping you to discover how to utilize your own inner strengths and gifts. You are invited to, at any time, ask questions about what we are doing and the reasons for the interventions. This is your process and investment. Please contact me for a free consultation.

In these difficult times, managing life's demands is often challenging. Anxiety, depression, and frustration may feel overwhelming and impossible to overcome. Seemingly obvious solutions often make it worse. For example, worrying about being anxious or avoiding anxiety arousing situations only increase the problem. However, there are effective coping strategies that help. I offer practical alternatives in a warm and supportive environment.
I work best with clients who may appear to have it together on the outside while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted. Many are navigating trauma, OCD, mood changes, identity exploration, or relationship stress. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients and those looking for an authentic, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to better understand themselves and heal.
If you are feeling dissatisfied in your relationships or if you are feeling stuck adjusting to changes, we will work together to find hope in your life and growth towards your goals. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide a safe and respectful space for you to freely share your thoughts and feelings. We will identify the strengths of your identity, personality and community to help you experience the solutions and changes you are seeking.
We specialize in providing trauma, sex, body and LGBTQIA+ affirmative psychotherapy to those who feel lost and unsatisfied, and want a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. It doesn’t have to be so hard. We are not distant, blank faced analysts, but instead are responsive and collaborative in our approach. Together, we will untangle the knots created by anxiety, depression, trauma, family, eating, and relationship problems that leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, your body, and your emotions.
Do you find yourself at a crossroads or yearning for more? You may be at a breaking point or you may want to make some changes and you don't know where to start. I am client centered and pull from attachment theory, psychodynamic theory, EFT, mindfulness, CBT and somatic approaches. I use play therapy, art therapy & eco therapy with children and teens. Choosing to engage in therapy is vulnerable and challenging. You are choosing to open yourself up, learn new skills, grow and explore the unknown. It is courageous and it's enlivening too. I have 30 years of working with adolescents and young adults. My approach to therapy is founded in the value of the therapeutic relationship. It is very important my clients feel heard and validated with a sense of security as they explore their experiences of both suffering and success. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidenced based psychotherapy treatment to help improve communication with others, reduce fears and phobias, interrupt thoughts that lead to addictive or other self-destructive behaviors, improve self esteem and change negative thought patterns.
