My clinical practice mainly consists of fellow queer and neurodivergent folx who struggle with complex trauma. Common concerns include self-abandonment through people pleasing, exploring gender/sexual identity, executive dysfunction, immense shame/guilt, perfectionism, identifying community supports, and processing underlying traumatic experiences. My clients often come into session looking to better understand who they are and what really works for them. Many times they feel so detached from themselves and their own bodies that it has been hard to even know what they want from life or who they are. I am EMDR trained and primarily work with clients to map out and process traumatic and other stressful experiences to improve self-understanding, self-acceptance, and self-compassion. My goal is to help people feel more connected with themselves, their needs, and find approaches that help reduce overall distress and improve relationships. I understand that therapy may be new experience for you or you may have had negative experiences with therapy in the past. Nevertheless, I strive to be mindful of and responsive to the individual needs of my clients. I am open to feedback and happy to adjust approaches as needed. Please feel free to reach out. I would love to work with you!

Living with anxiety, depression, or unresolved trauma can make even simple tasks feel exhausting and leave you feeling disconnected from yourself. In therapy, we’ll gently explore the root of your struggles, identify patterns that keep you stuck, and build healthy coping strategies. My goal is to help you feel grounded, empowered, and free to create a life that feels meaningful and truly your own. I blend CBT to challenge unhelpful thoughts, person-centered therapy to create a safe, validating space, and narrative therapy to help clients rewrite the stories shaped by anxiety, depression, and trauma—empowering them to reclaim control, build resilience, and move toward healing with clarity and confidence. I understand no two individuals are the same, and tailor our sessions together to address challenges unique to you. We will work together to understand the root cause of your struggles and address them with strategies, helping you get closer to the life you’ve always wanted. Step Into Your Greatness

Everyone can benefit from therapy. How often in your day to day do you have an hour where you’re fully seen, heard, and encouraged? That’s what therapy should provide. Too often therapy is misrepresented and clients stigmatized as weak or ill when, in fact, the strongest thing you can do is seek help. Let me help you through your darkest of times or your day to day concerns. There is no issue too big or too small to conquer. I believe everyone has the capacity for self-healing and change and that my role as a counselor is to support clients on their journey towards healing. I'm passionate about helping others through the daily challenges of life and trauma. With special consideration of how power, oppression, and the collective unconscious affect our individual well-being. As a black queer Liberian-American woman I draw from my personal cultural background to encourage clients to embrace and reconcile their own identities and experiences as they heal.

You’re tired of being consumed by fear. Imagine you could learn the techniques to heal and be free from panic attacks, OCD, binging, restricting and purging food. As a specialist in eating disorders, body image issues OCD, Intrusive thoughts, phobias such as agoraphobia, BFRB's, anxiety and gender identity issues/dysphoria, I provide tools to not be consumed with thoughts that cause constant worries about issues like food, your body, or scary intrusive thoughts. Life can feel overwhelming. You might be carrying past trauma, facing anxiety that won’t ease, or navigating a lingering sadness. Maybe you’re exploring how your identity has been shaped by culture, history, or generational pain—and you’re ready to reclaim your voice. Whatever brings you here, I want you to know: reaching out is a powerful first step. As a therapist with over a decade of experience, I create a trauma-informed space where you feel seen and supported. Together, we’ll face the hard stuff while making room for healing, hope, and growth. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, identity, and life transitions. My approach is rooted in decolonizing therapy—honoring how colonization, systemic oppression, and cultural narratives impact mental health. We’ll gently examine and unlearn internalized beliefs, reconnect with your resilience, and center your wisdom. This work isn’t just about surviving—it’s about liberation. I believe in the power of healing, especially in the face of profound pain. Therapy for me is about coming home to yourself—finding strength, wholeness, and meaning. If you're seeking someone who deeply listens, understands your complexity, and honors your story, I’d be honored to share this space.

I love the work that I do helping people through their difficulties, helping them gain insight and courage to change their lives in ways of their choosing. I approach all of my work from a strengths perspective. We all need help sometimes and it takes courage to seek out help and guidance. I operate from a strong faith background myself but follow the client's lead on whether they want to add these elements into our work or not. I am non-judgmental and am open to working with all people.

Brooke is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (North Carolina) and Licensed Professional Counselor (South Carolina) based out of Charlotte, NC. She works with women in their young adult years or 30's. Many of Brooke's client's come in feeling depressed, anxious and overwhelmed. It is not uncommon for one of Brooke's clients to say they feel like something is off because of a reaction they are having to a recent loss or past trauma. Brooke's goal is that everyone leaves feeling seen, heard and like their experiences and reactions to life events make a little more sense. She believes that everyone has a valuable story to tell and considers it a joy and privilege to hear that story and identify the themes and effects the story has on the client's life. While she works with people of all faith backgrounds, Brooke was trained in Christian counseling and offers integration of faith into counseling upon request. Her goal in working with clients is to help them better understand how their brain and body are connected and to empower clients to live in a way that aligns with their values. Clients who have worked with Brooke often feel supported and seen. She tries to come alongside and be a healing presence in the midst of great suffering. Brooke believes that the best therapists have been in therapy themselves and understands how much courage it takes to reach out for help. She strives to be empathetic and gives space for clients to reach the goals they set out to accomplish over the course of therapy. In her free time, Brooke enjoys spending time in nature, watching Chicago Cubs and Bears, listening to a good audiobook or podcast, watching French TV shows and traveling.
