I’m glad you’re here. Looking for support is a big first step. Therapy can be a place to slow down, to make sense of what you’re dealing with, and find new ways forward that feel more manageable. I have extensive experience working with college-aged and emerging adults navigating identity, relationships, and life transitions. Additionally, I've worked with adults on the autism spectrum, family members and caregivers of people with developmental disabilities, and others in helping roles. More importantly, I’m interested in getting to know you as an individual and working together in a way that feels supportive, practical, and aligned with who you are. Therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. I’ll listen, guide, and support you as you build on your strengths, tackle challenges, and develop practical tools for growth. Together, we’ll create a safe space where you can feel understood, empowered, and more confident in yourself.

I am a Licensed LMHC by the University of NYS, bilingual in both English and Spanish. I began my career in 1988 as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at the University of Buenos Aires with a concentration in Psychoanalysis and Psychological Testing. I later became a Psycho-dramatist dealing with Psychodynamic interventions, as well as Behavioral techniques and Counseling. I have over 30 years of experience. 2. I began working for the National Argentinean Board of Education where I created, implemented and led psycho-dramatic seminaries, helping principals and teachers at intermediate and elementary schools. I was the primary contact for families and staff to facilitate fluid communication and good education for children. 3. As a Private Practice Professional, I developed treatment plans tailored specifically to my clients. I also supervised clinical cases, coordinated care and services such as interaction with patients, family members and physicians from hospitals to facilitate adequate transferring. I later developed strong psychological skills in coaching, consulting and counseling of top executives in corporations such as Telecom Argentina, Phillip Morris Argentina. Most of these individuals do not speak English and the vast majority of them are unable to understand the complexity and intricacy of U.S. immigration laws even in their native Spanish. They may not even be aware that they have pending court cases, and may not appear at a scheduled hearing, which often leads to very serious consequences 4. I currently specialize as a Bilingual Psychotherapist targeting young people and adults who suffer from disorders such as PTSD, Major Depression, Psychosis and Anxiety. I also work with individual and family counseling, helping with diagnosis and crisis intervention, and serving parents with their own dynamics within the family. 5. I am trained in EMDR and attend monthly consultation with a certified EMDR consultant. Many people come to me with knowledge or curiosity of stored trauma in the body and its effects. This can look like persistent anxiety, "unexplained" health challenges like autoimmune disease, pelvic pain, abdominal pain and more. Additionally, clients will come to me and say that despite years of talk therapy they still feel stuck and want to explore how EMDR may be helpful for them. EMDR is an 8 phase process that doesn't have a specific timeline; it is catered to your needs and goals and progress is closely monitored throughout.

I applaud you for your courage in exploring therapy. I specialize in anxiety, depression, addiction, recovery, grief, loss, LGBTQ+ issues, stress, relationships, self-esteem, and trauma. I employ a Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral approach, emphasizing the reality that what we tell ourselves affects both how we feel and our actions. I also integrate the Psychodynamic perspective, exploring how our early experiences affect the now, and a Solution-Focused modality to help clients problem solve. I sprinkle in Existentialist, Narrative, REBT, & DBT strategies as well, creating a safe, non-judgmental & trusting environment. All are welcome and included in my therapeutic, affirming, and supportive sanctuary. I am a University Lecturer of Psychology at Fordham University. I specialize in EMDR for treating trauma and have worked extensively with first responders on work-related stress & traumas. My research focuses on the sense of belonging for LGBTQ+ community college students. Let me help you reclaim your power by guiding you on the process of choosing love over fear. I look forward to showing you how to use your light to honor your true, authentic self, align with your soul's purpose, and cultivate the courage to love yourself and, ultimately, others unconditionally. You are already enough exactly as you are. Much peace. Just be.

Students who come to work with me often share some things in common: -They're high-achievers. Driven, capable, and holding it together on the outside, but quietly exhausted, burned out, or feeling like something's missing on the inside. -They might be navigating anxiety or OCD, going through a major life transition, or questioning their purpose and what comes next. They may be working through shifts in their relationships, with a partner, with their parents, or with themselves. -Many have never asked for help before. They're used to being the one who has it together, and reaching out takes real courage for them. If any of that sounds familiar, reach out for a free 20-minute consultation and let's get started together :)

Welcome! You made it through the first hurdle by asking for help. It's hard to admit, even to yourself, that this time of your life is not easy. It's OK to ask for help. No judgement. This is a safe place. Many of my patients struggle with anxiety, depression or alcohol/drug issues. And many of them get better. Have hope.

One of my favorite things a patient has said to me is - “Thank you for being part of my journey”. That’s what life is to me – a journey we are all on together. What I want for everyone is that they can overcome any barriers they may have so that they can become their whole selves and live life to its fullest. I work with many kinds of people from all walks of life on issues like neurodiversity, autism, anxiety, ADHD, family history, relationships, and couples’ concerns. I also have expertise working with college students, international students, young adults, and couples after working and training at the University of Rochester counseling center. I have done training specifically to provide therapy through an anti-racist lens and continue to reflect on my own whiteness. I use a mixed relational approach pulling from person centered therapy, existential therapy, DBT and more. I am committed to providing a safe, sex positive, non-judgmental space for trust and growth to happen. Are you looking for change? Are you ready to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and uncover your potential? Then give me a call or send an email and we can set up a consultation. Let’s start the conversation!

My top priority is to provide you with a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where we can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. We will work together towards developing insight, fostering self-compassion, and finding strategies to help you live a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. We will set goals together, tailoring our approach to suit your individual needs and preferences. I have had the honor to work in the field of mental health for the past 15 years and journey alongside amazing people who were able to discover the strength, grace, and wisdom waiting for them. While I have experience providing several treatment modalities, I specialize in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have also been extensively trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Additionally, for the past eight years, I have taught courses on human behavior and additional topics at SUNY Brockport and Nazareth College allowing me to stay current on mental health research and treatments. My experience has shown me that everyone has the capacity for growth, we sometimes just need a space to discover and map out the life that we want. I would be honored to provide that space and help you bring more authenticity into your life.

I want to be your partner in holistic Wellness. When we break a bone or become sick, we seek medical treatment. That the same care and attention should be given to our mental health. I believe that therapy is not just about addressing mental health issues—it's about nurturing the whole self, mind, body, and spirit. Therapy also looks different for everyone because our lives are shaped by our experiences, emotions, and somatic responses to everyday life.
