“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” – Viktor E. Frankl One of the greatest gifts we can grant ourselves is the gift of inner peace. While we may not have control over our environment, situations, or the actions of others, we do have the power to control our thoughts, beliefs, and actions. As a therapist-in-training, I am dedicated to helping clients identify and understand the connections between their thoughts, beliefs, actions, and the decisions that shape their daily experiences. My goal is to help you turn life's lemons into lemonade. We all encounter challenging experiences, and I understand the importance of having a robust support system, combined with the right resources, time, and commitment. My aim is to ensure you feel safe, understood, validated, empowered, and supported throughout our sessions. Together, we will explore various therapeutic interventions to identify the best fit for your individual situation. I am currently a second-year graduate student at UMGC/Salisbury-Global Campus, pursuing a master’s degree in Social Work. My experience includes working with wounded warriors and NATO allies stationed overseas, addressing issues such as depression, PTSD, anxiety, substance abuse, separation anxiety, and identity struggles. Kadian Brown is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Sol Health is a digital health startup that offers $30 therapy to Gen Zs by connecting them with therapists-in-training accruing clinical hours.

Are you feeling stressed? Do you need to talk someone? In life, we often face obstacles that challenge our energy, will-power, psychological and emotional well-being. I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore various areas of your life without judgment. I believe in starting with you, listening and understanding your presenting concerns. The goal is to help you unleash your inner abilities to embark on a journey in discovering your own pathway to healing, restoration, and self-awareness with the goal to achieve inner peace and optimum harmony in order to thrive with audacity. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I utilize an eclectic style of treatment, utilizing various aspects of interpersonal, cognitive behavioral, stages of change, developmental and family systems theories to design the best approach to treatment that works for each individual or family focusing on their concerns.
We assess each client's environment, family, biological factors, and experiences from childhood to the present day. We consider a strong therapeutic relationship to be the highest indicator of progress in therapy. Being able to be open with one another enhances the therapy process. Without a strong rapport between therapist and client, safety doesn't exist, and barriers to positive change exist. After gathering history and establishing rapport, we then tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. We provide EMDR (trauma therapy) as well as regular talk psychotherapy.
I believe that healing and growth happen when one is truly heard. As a therapist, I strive to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to support this process and help you move past fears and obstacles that may be getting in the way of your success and happiness. I specialize in helping adults navigate life transitions as well as stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma related to issues of identity, self-esteem, relationships, school, and career. Together, we’ll work towards goals such as deepening self-awareness, overcoming unhelpful patterns, learning effective coping methods, cultivating self-acceptance, and building emotional resilience. I am particularly interested in working with diverse populations, including 1.5 and 2nd generation Asian Americans, BIPOC, and expats. As a native New Yorker and second generation Taiwanese-American, I’m especially attuned to issues of belonging and marginalization, and the complexities that arise from navigating intersecting identities and conflicting expectations, wants, and needs. In addition to being trained and licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC), I have completed post-graduate work in psychodynamic therapy at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Somatic Experiencing®, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). Prior to practicing therapy, I worked in advertising and marketing. I have found that my own winding path has given me a unique perspective and ability to connect with a variety of individuals and their struggles. If any of this resonates with you, I invite you to schedule a complimentary video consultation and take the first step towards feeling better. I would be honored to help you reshape your life story to create more balance, meaning, and fulfillment. www.dianaliao.com @therapywithdiana

I’ve always thought that the most beautiful and interesting trees in the forest are the ones that grow into unique forms, shaped by their environment but finding a way to adapt and thrive. Similarly, life’s challenges can shape us in profound ways, but they can also leave us feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck. I’m Rob Gooding, a second-year graduate student at St. Bonaventure University studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am deeply passionate about helping individuals navigate these challenges and uncover their inner resilience to live fulfilling and authentic lives. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for growth and healing. To me, it’s a privilege to walk alongside clients as they share their stories and embark on their journey toward self-discovery and empowerment. My approach is grounded in person-centered principles, recognizing that you are the expert in your own life. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. By integrating evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Solution-Focused Therapy, I work with clients to reframe negative thought patterns, develop practical skills, and prioritize their needs. Together, we’ll build tools to navigate challenges with confidence and clarity. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, academic pressures, identity exploration, or life transitions, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to help you rediscover your strengths, adapt to life’s demands, and create meaningful change. Just like those unique trees in the forest, your story is one of resilience and growth – and it would be an honor to support you on your path. Robert Gooding is a therapist in-training at Sol Health. By the time people reach out to me, they often feel overwhelmed, stuck, and unable to move forward. Do you struggle with anxiety and fear, constantly on edge, and unable to relax? Do you feel isolated and alone in your experience? Are your relationships suffering, leaving you feeling guilty and ashamed, unsure of how to cope? Are you experiencing uncontrollable nightmares and flashbacks? Many people facing these symptoms of trauma feel hopeless, saying, "I feel like I'm losing myself and need help finding my way back. I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) offering collaborative, creative, and strengths-based therapy. Rooted in psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed approaches, I create a space where you can show up fully—curious, overwhelmed, messy, or hopeful—and be met with care and curiosity. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic illness, grief, and LGBTQ+ identity. As a queer and trans therapist, I know how powerful it is to be seen and affirmed without needing to explain yourself. I earned my MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work, a program rooted in psychodynamic and anti-oppressive practice. I currently offer virtual therapy in the state of New York. Please reach out if you would like to schedule a consultation and see if we may be a good fit to work together. I look forward to hearing from you.
Entering your next level of education is a wonderful thing yet even good things can be stressful or scary. This is especially true in the current climate of Covid-19. Whether it's about school or something else in your life, there's a strength in knowing that you need help with it, as evidenced by you're being on this site. I'd be happy to talk for 15 minutes by phone or video and then, if you like, we can set an online appointment.
