Many of us feel disconnected, carry burdens from past traumas, and struggle to balance caring for ourselves with having a fulfilling life. My approach will help you respond to intense emotions and memories with more curiosity and speak to the parts of you that feel self-critical, alienated, and alone with a more compassionate and nurturing voice. We will explore your unmet needs and help you express yourself with more vulnerability, confidence, and authenticity. My focus is offering Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to the LGBT/queer community and ADHD/neurodivergent folks. My special interests are spirituality, social anxiety, non-monogamy, co-dependence, intergenerational trauma, college life, and plant medicine/psychedelic integration. I am Level 2 trained in IFS therapy through the IFS Institute, and can also be found in their practitioner directory. I also offer ADHD evaluations - you can find an inquiry form on my website.
I am committed to helping clients heal and regain a sense of control and well-being in their lives. I offer skills to change thoughts/behavior. My areas of specialty are substance use, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship and behavioral issues. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness and relaxation exercises to promote emotional regulation and build resilience.
We provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for a wide array of psychological issues to help you and your family reach your fullest potential. Our mission is to work collaboratively with our patients and their families to provide them the tools necessary to succeed in life.
Hello there, I'm Yolanda, Are you struggling with day to day tasks? Do you feel overly consumed with your thoughts? Are you losing meaningful relationships? Well, I'm here to assist you with managing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, substance use, and schizophrenia. As a team, we can identify issues and attack them from a medicinal standpoint. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, it will be my goal to advocate for you who struggles to be heard or respected, and to manage your treatment with compassion, understanding, and attention to holistic care.
As a clinical psychologist, I assist clients to address issues that are difficult to confront alone. I encourage self-reflection, help clients gain a clearer understanding of their life experiences and bring awareness to patterns of relating that are interfering with living a satisfying life. My orientation is primarily psychodynamic; it promotes self-exploration and gaining insight, along with productive behavior change. I take an active and engaged role with my clients by asking questions and offering ideas. I approach therapy as a collaborative process with the intention of reducing suffering, increasing self-understanding, and cultivating deeper and more compassionate relationships. I specialize in addressing chronic trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, loss, and relationship difficulties.
Hi! I have over 15 years of practice providing therapeutic and habilitative supports to people with different needs and have had the honor of providing psychotherapy to children, adults and families over the last 8 years. I came to the mental health field through my work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). I found that people can thrive when linked with the right supports, including service professionals who are dedicated, caring, empathic and invested. I find joy in supporting a person to find out what's getting them "stuck" and learning how to get un-stuck. This includes exploring ways to connect with other people in their lives, finding ways to increase self-compassion and engage in active problem solving, by finding creative and interesting solutions. This includes helping people try new things, while acknowledging that failure can happen (and often does!) that serves as an opportunity for continued growth and is part of the learning process.
Hello! My name is Abigayle Bennett, but you can call me Abi. I am in my second year of my Master’s of Social Work at Binghamton University and hold an Associate’s in Human Services and a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Education. I have been working in children’s and family services for the majority of my career, and hope to eventually open a Child and Family Development Center and offer an inclusive space for families to seek tools and resources to improve their family’s mental well-being. I specialize in areas such as anxiety, mood disorders, parenting and family issues, relationships, self-esteem, self-harm, lgbtq+ youth, and domestic/sexual abuse. I strive to create a laid-back, open, and approachable environment in our sessions. I understand that starting therapy can be daunting, but I aim to make our therapeutic relationship as comfortable and supportive as possible. My goal is to be someone you feel at ease talking to so that you can freely share and explore your thoughts and feelings. I know how intimidating it can be to bare your soul to a stranger, so I want to work together to build a strong therapeutic relationship so we can tackle your needs as a team. I firmly believe that mental health has to start from a sort of ground-up perspective. In order to control your feelings, emotions, and reactions, you have to understand them and be able to respond to them using tools that meet you where you’re at. I practice primarily using CBT, DBT, mindfulness, attachment theory, and family systems theory. In our sessions, we will use an eclectic mix of various therapeutic frameworks to best meet your needs. In session, this may look like guided meditations, processing past traumas, exploring family dynamics, and cognitive reprogramming techniques. By utilizing a mix of modalities, we can work together to find ways to best respond to the difficulties and struggles you may be facing, and hopefully overall improve your quality of life.

We work best with students who feel deeply and think a lot. Many of the students we support are navigating major life changes, identity questions, relationship challenges, or the pressure to succeed while feeling like they are falling behind inside. If you have ever felt like you are carrying a lot beneath the surface or trying to make sense of big emotions and experiences, you are not alone. In therapy, we create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and build the tools to move through life with more self-awareness and confidence.
Reaching out is a big step and contacting a therapist is an accomplishment and sign of growth in itself. We help with wellness, meeting goals, coping skills, anxiety and mood, stress, relational matters, trauma, help adjusting to life changes and more. We believe that the combination of a solid therapeutic alliance, discovery, understanding, and practical advice leads to the most beneficial outcome and helps in both the short and long term. We can examine issues, your perspectives, identify patterns and themes, and learn how you cope and interact in order to help you move towards desired outcomes.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in NY, and an LCPC in Maryland. I have a masters in clinical counseling from Johns Hopkins University and have been practicing psychotherapy for 10 years in my work with teens, adults and families. I currently provide services via telehealth (interactive video counseling). I support my clients through times of difficult transitions, grief and loss, and on the journey of healing from traumatic experiences. I support clients in answering the questions of 'Who Am I?', and 'Where Am I Going?'. I support my clients to better understand themselves and their relationships with others and to create more meaningful and fulfilling relationships. I support people to explore and understand their various identities, including gender/sexuality, racial/cultural identity, strengths, abilities and interests. I walk with you on your journey to help you get where you want to go. In our work together, you can expect a relationship built on non-judgmental listening and empowerment for you as the expert in your own life. We will journey together as you may be seeking greater authenticity and satisfaction with your life, or finding your life’s purpose. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support your journey.
My Approach Transitions in our lives can bring up a lot of different emotions. Some of these emotions can be conflicting if the transition “should” be happy. My work focuses on individuals and couples as they navigate through these transitions. There are ways to process it, work through it and allow you to show up authentically for yourself and your relationships. Your emotions are valid and your reactions are safety mechanisms learned through your survival of your experiences. My goal is to help you navigate through these changes, learn about yourself and build a meaningful life.
