My name is Dr. Kristen English, and I am a Pennsylvania-licensed psychologist. I work extensively with young- and established-adults, families, and elderly populations. I strive to create genuine therapeutic relationships with clients based on trust and sincerity. We collaborate through curiosity and creativity, as clients and I seek to identify clients' strengths and their inner resources (so often already there, but not yet acknowledged) for navigating life's really tough moments. I utilize a humanistic, strengths-based style while drawing on CBT, psychodynamic, and narrative techniques as I support clients' development of self-worth, flexibility, and self-compassion. We work toward positive growth and change and toward the development of nourishing, supportive relationships. I am currently conducting all sessions through telehealth and am so excited to bring these therapeutic conversations into clients’ homes, apartments, dorm rooms, and work spaces! Thanks for inviting me in!

Sometimes life feels big and fast, and really painful. You might be going through a major transition, dealing with a loss, or coping with intense stress. Whatever the cause, you’re left with the sense that things just aren’t right. Overwhelming as things feel, inside of you, there’s also wisdom and a great capacity to understand and heal what hurts, so that you feel more peace internally and experience more enjoyment as you navigate challenges, losses, stress–whatever life puts in your path. Together, our work will be to find and nourish the wisdom and ability that's already within you. I meet you with openness to all the parts of you, whether they’re critical or criticized, anxious or calm, heavy with sadness or energetic and driven. We work to access and open up the gifts these parts hold and to connect with the core you that’s so full of wisdom and vigor. Life slows down. Healing begins. And a brighter, clearer path opens up before you.

The Counseling Corner is a group of dedicated clinicians who take pride in providing quality mental health care. As a mental health practice, we assist members by providing therapy to a wide array of people who are in pursuit of happiness. Our team is comprised of exceptional clinicians with a variety of specialties to ensure we give you the best support possible. From our founder: I wanted to take a moment to share something deeply personal and meaningful to me. At 23, I faced an unimaginable loss when I lost my mother to alcohol addiction. It was a painful journey that led me to struggle with my own mental health for nearly a decade. During that time, I often searched for a purpose and a way to turn my pain into something positive. Today, I’m proud to announce that I’ve opened this mental health practice. We are building a team of incredible clinicians, each of whom shares a commitment to help others navigate difficult times and find hope and healing. Our goal is to create a safe space where people can feel understood, supported, and empowered on their journey to wellness. We’re here to save lives and help individuals reclaim their strength. If you or someone you know is looking for support, please reach out. Thank you for allowing me to share this journey with you. I specialize in working with young adults experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, trauma concerns, relationship difficulties, and identity & self-esteem challenges. Many of the individuals I work with have learned to prioritize others' needs, feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Clients come to me seeking deeper self-understanding, more secure relationships, and a stronger sense of safety—both within themselves and in connection to others. You may find that past relationships and life experiences continue to shape how you see yourself, navigate relationships, set boundaries, or respond to stress. I use a person-centered, attachment-focused, and somatic-based approach. Utilizing trauma-informed care, I often incorporate mind-body approaches and focus on nervous system support. Most importantly, I believe in the power of the therapist-client relationship. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself and others—so you can move toward the life you want with clarity and strength.

I want you to know this therapy will acknowledge the very real challenges you face that are NOT just in your head. If you've been left out, excluded, and the people around you don't understand, you have every right to be angry, hurt and lonely. Do the people in your life expect you to conform or “fix your problem” and make you feel like a burden for having needs? Have you started to believe the negative messages; started believe you're lazy, not good enough or a burden? I offer support for folks who are going through it. You deserve full access to therapy, please don't hesitate to let me know how I can best support. For example: lying down during session to ease fatigue, video forms instead of words on paper. If you're not sure what you need, we can explore this together and find out what works best for you. You can email me at Schedule@BodyMindAllianceCC.com or you can reach me by phone at 215-259-8016. Note: Your gender identity, pronouns and sexual/affectional orientation will be respected and honored without making therapy “all about your identity” unless that is what you want or need. (Image alt text: Photograph of Kasryn Kapp seated wearing a blue jumpsuit smiling) Please don't hesitate to reach out with any accessibility needs. I offer online therapy with Closed Captions (you can turn this feature off or on)

I work with individuals of all ages who seek to improve their communication skills, stress management, self-esteem, life transitions, and symptoms related to mental health diagnoses. My ultimate goal is to empower you to grow more resilient and confident in your ability to manage life’s challenges. My ideal clients are courageous and curious to know themselves more deeply, motivated to take steps towards identifying what is helping and hindering them in living the life they want, and are open to learning and practicing new ways of tending to their relationships with self and others- and dusting off old ones too! My approach is tailored to each individual's unique needs, incorporating aspects from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy to create a strength's based environment. I focus on cultivating awareness and insight into the thought and behavior patterns that impact your daily functioning. I want therapy to be what you need it to be- my hope is that we are able to spend our time being present, focusing on any of life’s challenges, changes, or celebrations you'd like to discuss. Building a trusting relationship is key, and I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space where you can openly express your thoughts and feelings.

Hi, I'm Matt Sosnowsky, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) based in Center City Philadelphia. I work with adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s — including a lot of people who are navigating the transition from college into "real life," or who are a few years in and finding that things feel harder than they expected. My clients are often high-functioning: they're doing well by most measures, but something underneath is off — anxiety that won't quit, a low-grade depression they can't shake, relationships that aren't working, or a nagging sense that they're not living the life they actually want. That's exactly the kind of work I find most meaningful. I'm particularly interested in men's mental health, and I work with a lot of guys who have never tried therapy before and aren't sure what to expect. My approach tends to be direct, collaborative, and grounded — less abstract exploration, more working through what's actually going on and figuring out what to do about it. Sessions are available in-person near Rittenhouse Square and via telehealth across PA, NJ, MD, VA, and DC. I'm an out-of-network provider, and I'm happy to help you understand what that means for your insurance.
