I provide specialized therapy that is individually tailored to help you solve your problems and realize your potential. Clients regularly describe my approach as effective and enjoyable since it combines practical skills with a deeper understanding of the self. Clients also appreciate that I bring authenticity, determination, and humor into the healing journey. I have extensive experience helping people from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and I regularly work with clients in the LGBTQIA+ community. I have particular expertise and interest in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, OCD, depression, perfectionism, self-expression, difficult life adjustments (college or otherwise), relationship issues, and addictions. To treat OCD, I specifically use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard in OCD treatment. If even a small part of you is curious to see how things can be different, I hope to get to connect with you soon.

To me, therapy is about meeting you where you are at. We can 'sit in the suck' and commiserate but from there we will build up! This is a collaborative relationship; we are colleagues working towards the same goal. I won’t try to impress you with fancy medical jargon or bore you with a lecture. I am a simple person with humble beginnings. I started my career in healthcare at 17 years old as a CNA (Certified nursing assistant) working nights at a tiny rural hospital. I moved into the Chicago suburbs to continue my education but maintained my CNA certificate by working afternoons and nights at a long-term care facility. I graduated with my Master’s in Social work in 2016 from Aurora University. During my initial years as a social worker I worked in mental health case management and hospice. Two years later I received my Licensed Clinical Social Work for the state of Illinois. Not even a month later in 2019 I moved to North Texas where it took me several more year of training before I received my clinical licensure for Texas. During that time I took several different positions to gain a better understanding of all the kinds of work a social worker is capable of. Those positions were intensive outpatient for mental health and addictions, intake, utilization review for a psychiatric hospital and home health. After gaining clinical licensure in Texas, I concentrated my focus to one on one telehealth with adults while they navigate difficult life changes. When I am not working I enjoy cooking, hiking, competing in dog sports, and tending to my plants and home with my spouse, 7 dogs, and one very old rabbit. I volunteer with the local animal shelter working with animals at risk of euthanasia due to behavior issues or medical concerns and in rescue rehabilitating struggling pets. As a clinician I use aspects of cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy and am considered person centered. I regularly provide handouts, suggest videos, or give homework to encourage therapeutic thought and action outside of our sessions. I look forward to meeting you and being part of the healing chapter of your story!

All our therapists are queer, intersectional feminists, and use liberation-based (anti-oppression) therapy approaches. In addition to gender and sexuality, our specialties include anxiety/panic, climate distress, dating, depression, existential crises, first-gen issues, intergenerational trauma, neurodivergence, racial/cultural identity, school stress, self-worth, self-harm and sexual trauma.

Many of the clients I work with are navigating big transitions, starting college, living away from home for the first time, or trying to figure out what comes after college. Some feel overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, or self-doubt. Others are dealing with relationship changes, family dynamics, burnout, or just feeling stuck. If you're someone who feels like you're supposed to have it all figured out, but secretly don’t, I get it. We will work together to sort through the noise, understand what’s getting in your way, and build tools that help you feel more steady and in control. My approach is down-to-earth, supportive, and built around what matters to you. You don’t have to have a diagnosis or a big crisis to start therapy. If something’s weighing on you, let's talk about it and strategize your success.

Hello! I am an LMFT in Texas and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported as we explore your experiences and build tools for healing. Clients describe me as a calm presence who can sit with the intensity of their feelings without pulling away. Together, we’ll explore the experiences that shaped you, untangle what’s no longer serving you, and build tools that help you cope, heal, and move toward the life you want. I would love to help you navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and neurodivergence. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected you’re in the right place. I am a narrative therapist who believes healing happens when your story is heard with care and without judgment. I aim to understand how you’ve adapted to hardship and help gently unblend anxious, depressed, angry, or hurt parts from your core self. I also offer EMDR to support those facing trauma, stress, or grief. I believe therapy is a place where joy can be recovered, hope can be rebuilt, and your story is honored. I became a therapist because I’m passionate about walking with people through hard seasons and helping push back the darkness in the world.

Are you stressed out and overwhelmed? Losing sight of your goals? Are 'old issues' getting in the way of moving forward? I care about "what happened to you" and I strive to provide a supportive space for you to share your concerns. Effective work can result in your improved ability to function and to pursue your best life. I offer acceptance without judgment, practical tools, constructive education and a conviction that you are capable! I do accept some insurance (Aetna and United Health) via Alma. Please contact me and I can walk you through the simple process. My approach is wellness-focused and is best suited for those who are not in crisis and who are ready to engage in deeper work. Developing increased self-compassion, radical acceptance and understanding about how we humans use self-blame to survive can help you move beyond the effects of trauma. I have a special interest in supporting persons who have been members of cults or high-control groups. These may be religious, psychological, treatment oriented or other. I offer online sessions via Zoom and some flexibility in my schedule (other than what is posted).

For Students Wrestling with Identity College is supposed to be where you figure out who you are—but that’s not always easy. Maybe your family, culture, or faith told you one version of who you should be, and it doesn’t match how you actually feel inside. You’ve tried to belong, but it can feel like parts of you have to stay hidden. I specialize in working with students exploring cultural, spiritual, gender, or sexual identity. Together, we’ll make space for your questions, doubts, and discoveries without judgment. Therapy isn’t about fitting into a box—it’s about helping you feel sturdy in who you are, even when it feels messy or uncertain. If you’re ready for a place where all of you is welcome, reach out today. Let’s start with a conversation about what you’re carrying and what you hope to find.

I currently have immediate openings for teletherapy and I also offer walk-and-talk sessions at the San Jose Rose Garden. I am licensed in both California and Texas. I have more than ten years of experience working with adolescents and young adults. I most frequently help my college-aged clients navigate the challenges of anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive dysfunction, giftedness, self-esteem and body image issues, relationships, grief, disordered eating, and trauma. I specialize in, and especially enjoy working with, ADHD, gifted persons, and college-aged young adults. As a private practice clinician since 2012, I take an affective, strengths based, approach to therapy. I practice cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, trauma-informed care, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. I work with individuals and families, and I facilitate an LGBTQ+ inclusive group for college-aged young women and non-binary persons. My style of therapy is centered, relaxed, and collaborative. It is vital to my practice that clients know they are talking to a real human being, and my client-therapist relationships are built on mutual trust and safety. I believe that mental healthcare should be holistic. To get at the whole person, I like to explore the interplay between movement, nutrition, sleep, and time spent in nature. And because mental health impacts so much of our lives, I often advocate for my clients and help coordinate support with other academic and healthcare professionals. I strongly believe that mental healthcare should be accessible and easy to navigate for everyone. I welcome clients from all communities, backgrounds, and walks of life. Outside of my home office, I am an avid hiker and eater of takeout. I’m learning to surf, and my favorite part of every day is spending time with my sixteen-year-old wiener dog.

I am a proud first gen, Salvadoran American and daughter of immigrants. My goal as a therapist is to assist clients to build a more fulfilling life by fostering an understanding of themselves and the complexity of our human emotion. I understand that it can be intimidating to seek support through life's unexpected challenges. I believe that creating an environment of unconditional support, trust, and understanding is crucial to the therapeutic relationship As a former hospital social worker, my unique experience lends special insight into the needs of individuals experiencing chronic illness and loss. My current and past work experience provides me with skills and knowledge to journey with our clients. I obtained my Bachelor's in Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Human Development and Family Sciences as well as my Masters in Social Work from the University of Houston. I am also fluent in Spanish. I draw from these important educational and work experiences to work with clients who are facing life transition issues, conflict in relationships, and psychosocial adjustment to health issues. My approach is rooted in compassion, mutual respect toward each client, and mindfulness of the dignity of each human person. Everyone's needs and experiences are different. I will work with our clients to find a therapy style works best for that individual.

I believe therapy is a space for growth and change that can lead to stronger relationships, healthier ways of functioning, and a deeper sense of well-being. In our work together, I’ll bring empathy, respect, and genuine care. My role is to support you in becoming more self-aware and confident, while helping you make the changes you want to see in your life. To me, therapy is a collaborative process. I’m not here to "fix" you, but to walk alongside you as a guide, a support, and sometimes just a steady presence while you navigate life’s challenges. I truly believe that everyone has the ability to grow and the responsibility to pursue that growth when they’re ready. I also believe our relationships with family, partners, friends, or chosen community play a huge role in our overall well-being. When those connections feel off or strained, it can affect so many other areas of life. Whether we're working one-on-one, with a couple, or with a family, I take a systemic approach to understand the bigger picture and help shift patterns that may be keeping you stuck. And I know that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll work together to find what feels right for you. Most importantly, I’ll offer a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. Many people start thinking about therapy because, emotionally, they don’t feel good. Maybe your emotions end up taking you for a ride and you feel helpless to stop it. Emotions come and go, but they can sometimes feel endless, especially if they are intense. Or maybe you are struggling to get in touch with your emotions and you find it difficult to connect. Either way, what ends up making it worse is the power struggle we get into with our own emotions. We want to push away the ones that feel bad and force the ones that feel good, but that never works for long. Wouldn’t it be easier to avoid the power struggle completely?

College can feel overwhelming. Many of the students I work with are dealing with anxiety, academic pressure, burnout, relationship stress, or uncertainty about their future. I work best with students who feel stuck, overthinking everything, or constantly stressed but still trying to hold it all together. My approach is practical, supportive, and focused on real-life tools you can use right away. We’ll work together to manage anxiety, improve coping skills, and create a clear path forward.
