My work is relationally based, and I additionally integrate the approaches of Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which are both mind/body modalities. These approaches have been transformational for myself and many clients I have witnessed because they offer an orientation of radical openness and compassionate inquiry about all parts of your experience.

As we grow and develop life throws at us a series of experiences and challenges. We learn to navigate our environment and relationships through these experiences. As a therapist I have the utmost respect for the ways in which people have approached their lives. It is not my goal to tell someone how to live. My role is to provide a relationship and a dedicated time to think openly about your experience. Sometimes we lose sight of the meaning and spend time trying to convince ourselves of something that may no longer fit. Through empathy and playfulness, I hope to create a space in which people feel safe to explore new ways of being and thinking. I am interested in both what you say and how you say it: the lyrics and the music. We will work together to find new ways of making meaning out of what life offers. In our first meeting I will be very curious to learn about your life and the challenges you are experiencing. We will discuss how you approach your life and identify ways in which you may struggle and succeed in facing difficulties. I will share feedback with you towards the end of the session and spend time planning future steps. I have worked in college and university mental health centers for over 10 years and look forward to continuing my work with students in my private practice.

Hi there and welcome! I am a culturally responsive therapist and I have over eighteen years experience working with college students. Currently, I work primarily with daughters of immigrants, but I see people of all marginalized backgrounds. I pride myself on being easy to talk to, and I believe the relationship between me and the client is super important in the healing process. It's important that my clients feel safe and connected, so please reach out with any questions or concerns about whether we may be a good fit!

Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, OCD and related disorders, and longer-standing patterns of emotion dysregulation. I offer a warm, compassionate, and validating approach to evidence-based psychotherapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention. I am particularly passionate about using mindfulness principles to help clients access these treatments. I have been providing therapy to individuals with a range of concerns for over 7 years. I received my PhD from Yale University in clinical psychology in 2020 and my BA in psychology with a minor in music from Cornell University in 2012. I completed predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where I currently work as a staff psychologist at the OCD Institute and The Pavilion. I do my very best to meet my clients where they are at in their lives, deeply empathize with them, and then gently and at their pace, help them move towards any changes they hope to realize in their lives. I appreciate your taking the time to read about me and my approach to therapy, and I look forward to connecting soon!

The treatment I provide is influenced by relational, attachment-based, and psychodynamic modalities. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity concerns, trauma, and stress related to work and relationships. I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds to address their presenting symptoms, as well as explore the underlying roots of these symptoms to establish long-term benefits. I believe therapy is most effective when there is a trusting and open therapeutic relationship, so we will work together to identify a meaningful approach to your care. I’m experienced in working with culturally diverse and LGBTQ populations. Prior to earning my degree in counseling, I worked with LGBTQ youth and young adults in the Boston community at a nonprofit organization dedicated to health education. I understand how difficult it can be to find a good match in therapy, I encourage you to contact me for an initial phone call, and we can discuss how we might work together.

If you are struggling with emotional issues, stressful life experiences or feel a sense of disconnection, connecting with a therapist can help to alleviate your suffering. With me you will be able to explore difficult thoughts and feelings, challenge patterns and behaviors that might not be serving you or reflect on your relationships in a safe and supportive space. I care about the relationship I establish with my clients, am warm and compassionate and enjoy working collaboratively. My approach to counseling is holistic and grounded in the belief that our mind and body are one. Emotions live in the body as well as the brain. Along with traditional verbal psychotherapy I often integrate body-centered and creative arts therapy. My training allows me to use a variety of evidenced-based counseling theories to support your individual needs. If you’ve been finding yourself stuck in old patterns that you cannot change, perhaps struggling with feelings of inadequacy or fear of failure, you’ve come to the right place.  The constant doubting and shaming of a strong inner critic can prevent us from entering new relationships, pursuing our interests and goals, and convince us that it’s not safe to allow anyone to get to know our true selves. Choosing to confront these themes in therapy takes courage and vulnerability, and represents the first step in a decision to prioritize your mental health. I will work with you to explore the themes that brought you to therapy, and develop the self-compassion to show up more authentically in your life.  My therapeutic style is compassionate, sometimes humorous, and client-led. I center my work around Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach, and I often pull from relational or psychodynamic modalities as well. I work with adolescents and adults of all backgrounds, and I specialize in working with those who identify as athletes or performers (musicians, actors, dancers, etc.) If you’re interested in starting therapy to address some of those old patterns or painful feelings, I hope you’ll take the time to consider if we would work well together.

One of the great promises of therapy is that even when we don’t know exactly what we need or know how to feel better, if we lean in with curiosity and compassion- and stay committed- we can learn to turn toward ourselves and each other with empathy, begin to build healthier relationships, and ride waves of emotions like a pro surfer. I believe we all have the capacity to grow and reach greater levels of understanding along happiness in life. I think the best way to get there is through a meaningful connection that is created in a safe environment where we can express our authentic needs. I often support clients with experiences like stress, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, bipolar, ADHD, and autism. I have been trained in various clinical techniques in Europe, including schema therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. My approach is integrative and tailored to your unique goals and needs. Growing up outside the US, I also bring a cross-cultural perspective that deepens my understanding of the challenges people from diverse backgrounds might face. I empower my clients to gain insights into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that they can make meaningful changes in their lives. Reach out if you're curious about working together!
