Hi there, I am so glad you’re here. Whether you're feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or just trying to figure things out, I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can breathe, speak freely, and be fully yourself. I’m a warm, caring listener who shows up with patience, presence, and deep respect for whatever you’re carrying. I specialize in supporting people through life’s in-between moments - whether it’s starting college, questioning identity, launching into adulthood, adjusting after a loss, or facing the “what now?” moments of life. I believe growth happens when we feel safe enough to show up just as we are, and I’m here to support you at your pace. My background includes years of working with adolescents and young adults in school, community, and clinical settings. I hold licenses in Clinical Social Work as well as School Adjustment Counseling. I draw from a range of approaches, including person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practices, to create the therapeutic space that works best for you. I bring a grounded, nonjudgmental presence and see our work as a collaborative process. I’m here to help you deepen self-understanding, explore your values, and build the tools to move forward with clarity and confidence. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodiversity affirming, and committed to creating an inclusive space for all identities and lived experiences. My goal is for you to feel truly seen, heard, and supported in every session. Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, so I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect, talk through what you're looking for, and see if it feels like a good fit. You deserve support that feels right for you.

You might be struggling to understand why you fall into the same damaging patterns in your relationships. Or why, no matter how much you want to, you just can't seem to let yourself be vulnerable with the people you love most. Or maybe you're facing questions about your path in life and trying to fit into a predetermined mold. I believe we shouldn't have to force ourselves to blend into one aspect of our identities. We deserve to embrace all parts of ourselves and create our own unique balance from our cultural, gender, emotional identities and more. Attachment theory, trauma informed interventions, and a personal and therapeutic perspective of multicultural identities are some of the things that allow me to support you in better understanding yourself and get answers to your biggest questions about you. All with the goal of feeling most aligned with who you truly are. Life today can fill our heads with so many complexities that we sometimes lack the capacity to figure all this out on our own. The therapeutic space we create can be dedicated to the personal challenges that have had to take a backseat. Those parts of you deserve the time.

I’m a clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging moments. I earned my undergraduate degree from Quinnipiac University and went on to complete my Master of Social Work at Boston University School of Social Work in 2015. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use. I came into this field because I genuinely value the process of helping people better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and I don’t take for granted the trust it takes to share your story with someone new. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and truly heard—without judgment. My approach to therapy is pragmatic, individualized, and grounded in your unique strengths. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I work collaboratively with each client to understand what’s most important to them and to develop tools and strategies that feel realistic and useful in everyday life. Whether we’re working through patterns of anxiety, processing past trauma, or addressing substance use, I aim to balance insight with practical steps forward.

Hi, I'm Kate Lipman (she/her). I hope we get the chance to connect. People I work with best often struggle with self-esteem, anxiety, and depression (among many other things). I love working with students as they navigate the sometimes rough waters of schooling and early adulthood. I hope our work together can be a steadying and calming force in the midst of those previously turbulent seas. Please reach out to me for a free 15-30 min phone call to see if we are a good fit!

I am a LICSW with over fifteen years of experience where I collaborate with clients to discover a resiliency within themselves. My most rewarding experiences have been with young adults who may be just beginning or those returning to college and managing the challenges that arise. I work with individuals who may experience a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, adjusting to life transitions and those impacted by trauma and systems of oppression. I bring warmth, compassion and sometimes humor to our conversations and enjoy working with individuals who are interested in understanding more about themselves and how they move through the world.

Have you been in therapy before or are you new to mental health therapy? My goal as your therapist is to meet you where you are at and move together towards the changes you would like to see. I pull from a variety of different styles to address your goals, including skill building, CBT, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed care approaches. I hope to foster a space where you feel seen and heard and where you are able to take care of what has brought you to therapy (or back to therapy) in the first place. I offer weekly, bi-weekly, or, in some cases, monthly sessions at 45 or 60 minutes in length via telehealth. All sessions start with a phone call where we 1) make sure I am the right fit for you, 2) verify your insurance or payment method is active and all set, and 3) schedule you an intake and an ongoing appointment time that works for your schedule. I return all calls and email requests for therapy services and hope that I may be of help to you at this point in time or, at the very least, be able to point you in the right direction.

Grounded and raised in a Chinese immigrant and Vietnamese refugee family, my roots and experiences have amplified my passion to shatter taboos in the AAPI community. I am committed to raising awareness and access to spaces of healing to communities of color. I will offer you a culturally-responsive, collaborative space to share your story. I aim to apply an anti-oppressive framework at the heart of my practice; and care deeply about the impact of intergenerational and race-based trauma. I value authenticity, transparency, and humor in our journey! The complexities of juggling responsibilities as a student, employee, caregiver, etc., can be super exhausting and I'm here to tell you that I see you! During my career of being a therapist for over a decade, I have found that the working relationship is pivotal for any change to happen in therapy. I take great care to foster a sense of emotional safety so exploration, processing, and developing new understandings and patterns of interaction with one’s self, others, and the world may take place. I enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate university students, young adults, and working professionals who experience difficulties with general distress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and ADHD. By using elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, contemporary psychodynamic therapy, and emotional focused therapy I ally with people to aid them in learning more about themselves while dislodging obstacles that may be present in their lives and relationships. I am passionate about helping people who are currently feeling like they are struggling in their lives and working with them to achieve what they envision their life to be through either weekly individual or couple therapy sessions. If you desire to see lasting changes in your work, life, and your relationships, I encourage you to reach out to me, so we can talk more about what you are trying to achieve through therapy.

Sometimes we find ourselves feeling stuck, unhappy, or confused. We may be aware of a sense of unease, as if something is not quite right. Therapy can provide clarity and tools to help you navigate difficult emotions. It’s important to know that we can learn to think and feel differently. I provide a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and truly validated. I believe in the gentle balance of being both compassionate and direct to help facilitate growth and healing. Through encouragement, compassion and insight, my goal is to help you develop a deeper sense of joy and greater agency over your life. My background includes helping individuals who find themselves in challenging situations arising from depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, and addiction. I have formal training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and am also a Tobacco Treatment Specialist. I incorporate modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness into my treatment so that I can help clients make the most of their therapy and reach their full potential.
