I am a licensed clinical psychologist and a licensed school psychologist. I hold a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY. Urban and rural, inpatient and outpatient work settings have taught me about the many challenges an individual may face including experiences of oppression and injustice, as well as a deep appreciation for the richness of the human experience. My style is described as warm, analytical and collaborative, balancing deep emotional work with elements of humor and lightness when appropriate. I aim to help clients address the root of complex challenges, in a safe and supported way. I most enjoy working with anxious kids and families, neurodivergent humans, queer clients, and folks working with depression, trauma, attachment, and identity including DID. I use insight-oriented, mindfulness-based, and systemic approaches including family therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy, and emotion-focused work. I seek to help clients understand patterns that may not be serving them, and to hold a safe and empowering space in which positive shifts can occur. I am a student and teacher of yoga and meditation and I often weave these practices into my work with clients. I currently offer virtual therapy to clients in Oregon, New York, Colorado and Vermont.

I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) Army war veteran and psychotherapist. My experience includes working with military, veterans, immigrants, domestic violence survivals and generational trauma. I am trained on EMDR and somatic. I provide you a safe environment to help you on your journey of healing.
I work with individuals, couples, and families through a primarily psychodynamic framework. Through insight-oriented work with a focus on interpersonal relationship dynamics, attachment, and family systems, it is my goal to help the people I work with uncover repressed trauma from childhood and adolescence in order to gain a more nuanced understanding about their unhealthy relationship dynamics, from past and present, in order to live healthier and more fulfilling lives. I enjoy helping my patients develop a deeper sense of self-awareness in order to understand their emotional and interpersonal struggles. There are many different approaches to therapy, and it is my belief that it is best to adapt to the needs of each person I work with. We often learn to understand ourselves, and the actions and behaviors of others, through the lens of our early life experiences. It is my goal to help you disentangle the complex webs that we all form, which may feel insurmountable to conquer alone. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space where we will explore uncharted areas of your life to make connections between prior experiences and current emotions in order to develop insight and growth. I strive to foster a compassionate healing environment in which I will help you form inner coping resources, so you may develop healthy relationships, gain self-esteem, and find relief from emotional distress. It is my goal to tailor treatment to fit your individual needs. Some of the most rewarding aspects of my work involve being able to assess your strengths, share that information with you, and help you implement those strengths in a positive way. When you are ready to take the next step, please call or email me for a complimentary phone consultation. I look forward to meeting you soon. *I am currently seeing patients for both virtual and in-person appointments.
If you are seeking to gain deeper insight into your patterns of behavior, strengthen your relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change, you have come to the right place. I work with young adults, adults, and couples with specialized experience in treating anxiety and mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, OCD, as well as interpersonal and relational challenges. I believe therapy should be personalized rather than “one size fits all.” Therefore, building trust and cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship are central to my approach. Drawing from attachment-based and psychodynamic perspectives, I help individuals understand how past experiences shape the present. I also integrate skills from evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, cognitive flexibility, and behavioral change. I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Mental Health Studies from New York University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Mount Sinai Services/Elmhurst Hospital, where I received intensive training in providing individual and couples therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns, and my post-doctoral training at the Center for Anxiety, a private practice setting where I deepened my expertise in evidence-based treatment. My prior clinical training includes placements at Weill Cornell Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian and the Parnes Clinic, where I specialized in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, trauma, and relational challenges. My doctoral research examined the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health severity, further strengthening my commitment to understanding how individuals adapt and recover in times of crisis. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a supervising psychologist, supporting the professional growth and development of emerging clinicians. Patients often describe me as warm, compassionate, and collaborative, while also appreciating my honesty, directness, and willingness to challenge unhelpful beliefs.I ask thoughtful, meaningful questions designed to foster insight and help individuals better understand their internal experiences. I bring humor and presence into sessions, working alongside patients to identify patterns, build insight, and move toward growth, healing, and their most meaningful goals.

I use a variety of clinical modalities rooted in CBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing and problem solving therapy. I have experience in working with issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, loss and grief, life transitions, interpersonal conflict, poverty, sexuality and gender, and stress management. My approach to therapy is guided by the firm belief that the strength of the therapist-client relationship is the most important element of successful treatment. Together, we will navigate the obstacles through a foundation of trust, transparency and maybe even some humor. I enjoy working with motivated clients who are seeking to make positive changes in their lives and I am committed to making this process as supportive as possible. I am committed to decreasing the barriers to mental health services and due to this, my practice is 100% virtual. Having this option allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship where we are actively working on both short and long terms goals each time we meet. Let’s be real. Life is hard. It is messy and crazy and sometimes, it just feels out of control. Your space is a mess, your roommates are on your last nerve, you have a major assignment to work on, and you just cannot get a moment to think straight. Then there’s that thought in the background that you’re not doing enough, that you’re not enough. You’re questioning yourself and feeling overwhelmed. College is hard. This phase of life is hard. Feeling the pressure to succeed can feel unbearable. This is where therapy comes in. To learn how to address these thoughts & emotions in a safe space and develop a plan of action to move forward, feeling confident in yourself.
